HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

Our funding is possible thanks to the effort of volunteers, former volunteers, parents and friends. VDO does not receive any funding from Government or big charities. Any donation, no matter the amount, is very important for us and is greatly appreciated. With your financial help you can help poor children and support our projects in some of the next ways, just as example:

$25 supports the managment of the projects. If you help with this pourpuse, your money will be used in the general support of the projects, where the need is great at any time, as transportation, materials, consumables, etc.

$50 helps to buy books for the children’s library. Children are poor children in the rural areas who have no access to reading books. We personally circulate these books to the children, and exchange them every month or two. In this way, the children can read a wide variety of books to which they would otherwise not have access.

$100 can give health relief to poor people We have an small fund for helping our children and families to solve health emergencies and urgent needs. You can help to give a better coverage with this donation.

$200 improves a playground or makes possible some important work in a school. Some schools have playgrounds that are in poor or unusable conditions or needs some glasses, toilet items, doors or many other needs. A donation to help schools will be greatly appreciated by children and parents.

$300 makes possible to give a new computer to a isolated school. Some rural schools has no computers or just one for more than 40 children. We have reached that a local engineer design a low cost new computer with all features and a guarantee.

$400 supplies the building materials and labor needed to build a bathroom for one poor family. Many health problems of children in the rural areas of Ecuador are caused because not all families have a bathroom. To resolve these health problems, VDO Ecuador is helping build bathrooms in the poor communities. In the last years we have constructed nine bathrooms, however, we have identified six more families that do not have a bathroom.

$500 provides good help to a local volunteer for his/her secondary studies during one year. No matter education is free every student needs to buy uniforms and a a daily amount for transportation, copies, some meals. local volunteers helping in teaching and working in the projects some hours receives a montlhy amount for this pourpose, making possible to continue their education.
